Tremendous improvement in awareness of the collaps of human energy 1

This is for my English speaking friends (sorry for the bad English!).
In the past few years, we had a tremendous improvement of awareness to the increasing energy collaps of mankind – the fire that burns untill it burns out.
This was the state three years ago:
The office building is burning down.
Two managers stand in front of it.
One says: „What’s that? I’ve never seen this.“
The other: „I’ve no idea. But it is exciting, isn’t it?“
